What you will be doing?
Here are some of the day- to-day tasks:
Ensuring that all ingredients and cooking equipment are well-prepped on a daily basis
Manage Back of House team members and ensure good communication with Front of House team
Direct the food preparation process and delegate tasks to Back of House team members
Set-up, run, handover and close down clean, safe and fully operational workstations
Record, manage and order stock, waste, and consumables
Measure-out and prep meals according to recipes and specifications
Clean-up and maintain the kitchen after cooking and between meals
Ensure the kitchen is cleaned to high standards and sanitised at the end of the shift
Follow all fire safety, health and safety, food hygiene and restaurant security measures and procedures
Train and mentor all new Back of House team members
Troubleshoot and escalate any problems or issues that may arise in the kitchen
Address and resolve customers complaints
What are we looking for?
You have a genuine passion for cooking and learning, a natural leader with positive attitude towards work, well organised with the ability to follow instructions and guidance, and experience work working with fresh food and produce, preferably in a similar Mediterranean restaurant environment
